Class and Club News

Do you like to write?  Do you have something to say?  Applications for the Saroyan Writing Contest 2010 are now in the library.  Prizes are from $50 to $100.  Deadline is March 8 th.  You won’t know if you can do it unless you try!!!

ATTENTION STUDENTS AND FACULTY:

THERE WILL BE NO VALENTINES DELIVERIES ACCEPTED AT THE HIGH SCHOOL, THE WEEK BEFORE OR AFTER VALENTINES DAY.

Treat your friends to a special note and candy this Valentine's Day.  Valentine grams are now for sale for just $1 and will include a small box of Sweethearts candies.  Get yours from a CSF Member or in Room 205.

FCA picture is today the last 10 minutes of lunch in the Quad. If you do not show up, you will not be in the yearbook picture.

Don’t forget about the Community Service opportunity, tonight at Keenan Community Center in Huron. Be there from 4:30-6:30pm .

CSF will meet on Thursday, February 11 during lunch in Room 219.  We will be discussing fundraisers. All Valentine Grams must be turned in by the time of the meeting in order to be delivered on Friday, February 12.   

 

Faculty/Staff

After School Tutorial teachers please remember to sign and date your daily student sign in sheets before turning them in.  

Teachers if you have received a Student Withdrawal Form please fill it out and return it to Mrs. Berkey ASAP.

Attention Coalinga High School Teachers: Please inform all High School Students that BREAKFAST is FREE to all High School Students. Breakfast is served at the High School from 730AM to 8AM. Breakfast is served at CMS from 730AM to 8AM

 

 

 

 

School News

Counseling Office

2 tutors are needed for middle school students in math and Algebra.  If you’re interested in earning community service and would like to be a tutor see Mrs. Kreyenhagen in the Counseling Office.

The February Scholarship Bulletin is now available in the Counseling Office.  This month there are several local scholarships available.  Check it out !!!

Community Service Opportunity - A tutor/homework helper is needed for a 1 st grade student.  Please see Mrs. Berkey in the Counseling Office if you are interested.

Wednesday will be our late start day and students should not be on campus until 9:00 a.m. Students arriving before 9:00 a.m. will be asked to leave .

Sports News

ALL ATHLETES GOING OUT FOR A SPRING SPORT MUST HAVE A CLEARANCE.

Anyone planning on participating in Boys Tennis, please sign up with Mr. Cash immediately.

Swimming Practice begins on February 22, 2010. Sign the roster in the High School office. Please make sure you have your clearances by then. You may not practice until you are cleared. Bring your clearances to me at the middle school room #504 or take them to the middle school office. You may page me @ 446-7363 or e-mail @ jjennings@chusd.k12.ca.us.

Track and Field meeting TODAY at 3:30 pm at the High School Boys Gym. Coach Zubiri is the new head coach. We need as many people as we can for the new track season.

 

Cash's Corner

Students you will need to display your ID/ASB cards at all times during school and sporting events around your neck with your designated lanyard. Students not wearing their ID/ASB cards at school & school activities could receive In School Suspension or Saturday School.
